Great growth and the volume of noise in this busy department took it out of the headquarters building and into a leased space where minimal capital investments were made. Management required an open environment where all 200 telemarketing workers could be observed and accessible, yet that many people talking on the phone raised issues of privacy and quiet. Raising the divider panels was not an option, so Watson Design specified a creative solution with canopies, highly rated ceiling tile, soft surfaces, tackable acoustic boards, and a sound masking system.
